Quick, Accurate Testing of FAMEs in Olive Oil by GC/FID Using a Zebron™ ZB-FAME GC Column (TN-2063)


Abstract:
Olive oil is one of the most adulterated food products worldwide and analyzing the fatty acid profile determines the composition of the oil. A Zebron ZB-FAME GC column reduces traditional run times for testing FAMEs in olive oil following the International Olive Council (IOC) method, the global method for the detection of extraneous oils in olive oils with improved separation of cis/trans FAME isomers.
